Beaver Lake Community Church

 Beaver Lake Community Church values:

  1. Unity...around the Lord and His purposes
  2. Love...the who, the what, the why, the how
  3. Freedom...saved, healed, delivered, worship
  4. Hunger...leads to Spiritual growth

  1. We believe the Holy Bible, consisting of both the Old and New Testaments, is fully inspired by God's Spirit in the original languages, and that it is the only Word of authority in matters of doctrine, and it is the sufficient rule of conduct and practice. Josh. 1:8; II Tim. 3:16 & 17; I Thess.2:13; II Pet. 1:21.
  2. We believe in God who is revealed in the Bible as the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost. Ps. 2:7; Matt. 3:16 & 17; Matt. 17:5; Matt. 28:19; Jn. 1:1; Jn. 14:16, 17 & 26; Jo. 15:26; and Jo. 16:7-16.
  3. We believe that Jesus Christ is very God and very man, that He was conceived of the Holy Ghost, was born of the virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and buried, that He rose from the dead and was seen alive by His disciples for forty days, that He ascended into Heaven from whence He will come again at the end of this age and rule as King of Kings and Lord of Lords over all the earth. Isa. 7:14; Isa. 9:6 & 7; Matt.1:23; Luke 1:30-35; Luke 24: 1-8; Heb.7:26, I Peter 2:22; Acts 1:1-3; Acts 2:22; Acts 10:38; I Cor. 15: 3-8; II Corn.5:21; Matt. 28:6 Luke 24:39; Acts 1: 9-11; Acts 2:33; Phil. 2:9-11 and Heb.1-3.
  4. We believe in the vicarious death of Jesus Christ, and that we have salvation only through Him, and His blood cleanses us from all sin. Isa. 53:3-6; Acts 4: 10-12; I Jo. 1: 7-9; and 2: 1-3.
  5. We believe that a man must be born again of the Spirit of God, or he cannot enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. Jn. 1: 12 & 13; Jn. 3: 3-8; Romans 10:13-15; Eph.2:8, 4:24; Titus 2:11-12; and Rom. 8:16.
  6. We believe the Holy Spirit is given to enable the Church to fulfill its mission, that He convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, and that He is our only source of power for service. Jn. 14:16, 17 & 26; Jo. 16: 7-15; and Acts 1: 4-8.
  7. We believe in water baptism of believers, signifying our union with Christ in His death and resurrection. : Mk. 16: 15 & 16; Matt. 28: 19 & 20; Acts 2: 38 & 39; Mark 16:16; Acts 10:47-48; Rom 6:4; and Acts 19: 1-6.
  8. We believe in the Baptism in the Holy Spirit as a free gift from God to all believers. And all believers are entitled to and should purposefully expect and earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Ghost and fire, according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. This was normal in the early church. With it comes the culmination of power for life and service, the bestowal of the gifts and their uses in the work of the ministry. Acts 2:4; Acts 1: 4 & 8; and I Cor. 12: 1-31. With the baptism in the Holy Ghost comes such experiences as an overflowing fullness of the Spirit (John 7:37-39; Acts 4:8), a deepened reverence for God (Acts 2:43; Heb12:28), an intensified consecration to God and dedication to His work (Acts2:42), and a more active love for Christ, for his word, and for the Lost (Mark 16:20).
  9. We believe in the Lord's Supper. Matt. 26 26-28; Mk. 14: 22-25; Luke. 22: 14- 20; and I Cor. 11: 23-33.
  10. We believe that the Church, which is composed of all born-again believers, is charged with the responsibility of fulfilling the commission Jesus gave to His disciples in Matt. 10: 1-8; Matt. 28: 19 & 20; Mk. 3: 14 & 15; Luke. 9: 1 & 2; Jo. 14: 12-14; Acts 1:8; and: Mk. 16: 15-20.
  11. We believe that the life of the believer is to be separated from the world by consistent Christ-like conduct before God and man. showing forth our Lord, and is to be in the world as a life-giving light. Matt. 5: 14-16: Rom. 12: 1 & 2; Col. 3: 17; and I Jn. 2: 15 & 16.
  12. We believe in the Second Coming of our Lord Jesus Christ as the great hope of the Church. His coming will be literal, personal and visible. Many important events will be associated with His return, such as the resurrection of the dead, the destruction of the wicked, the purification of the earth, the reward of the righteous, and the establishment of His everlasting kingdom. Matt. 24: 44; Luke. 17: 26-30; Luke. 21: 25-27; Jn. 14: 1-3; Acts 1: 9-11; Rev. 1: 7; Heb. 9: 28; James. 5: 1-8: II Thess. 1: 7-10; and I Thess. 4: 15-18.
  13. The above is a minimal statement of faith and is not to be considered exhaustive, for it is our privilege and duty to believe all that is taught in the Word of God. Il Tim. 3: 16 & 17; II Pet. 1: 21; and Josh. 1: 8.
